Harvest is on the horizon, and with it, comes our next Featured Event: Ogallala Indian Summer Rendezvous! In September, we will celebrate our festive heritage with an array of creative and fun activities for the entire family to enjoy. Activities includes live music, a Harvest Arts Market, a Chili Cook-off, a Bloody Mary Contest, kids events, and much, much more!

2. Meet the Bald Eagles this Winter
Every winter, Bald Eagles arrive as Lake McConaughy freezes over. You are almost guaranteed to see them gliding over the lake, and congregating in Kingsley Dam, sometimes in groups of 100 or more! Come learn about these amazing birds, and see the beauty of our winter for yourself.
3. Spot Our Spring Harbingers
Signs of spring often begin well before March with the arrival of migratory birds. According to expert ornithologist Dr. Paul Johnsgard, the Lake McConaughy area is the third best birding area in the United States. Spring is an excellent time to catch a diverse array of visitors, from sandhill cranes, to snow geese, redheaded woodpeckers, American pelicans, terns, plovers, grebes, and more! We are blessed with two beautiful 18-hole golf courses where you can play a round of golf with friends, enjoy the shade of old cottonwood trees or take in Lake McConaughy's beautiful scenery. We also have an annual Golf Tournament for you to enjoy!

Did you know that the Keith County area hosts live music throughout the calendar year? From March - October, the Most Unlikely Place hosts an array of performers, artwork and speakers.
